My experience with this OB-GYN office has honestly been very disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it based on the care I've received so far.
The biggest issue is how difficult it is to communicate with anyone. There is practically no way to get in touch with the office over the phone, which is frustrating when you have questions or concerns about your pregnancy. Kimberly is supposed to be my midwife, but I haven't been able to get in contact with her either. I shouldn't have to struggle to reach the person responsible for my prenatal care.
The appointments themselves also feel rushed, especially the ultrasounds. There isn't much explanation of what's happening or what you're actually looking at. The ultrasound setup is disappointing as well. You're put in a tiny room where everything is viewed on a laptop, rather than being shown what's going on and having someone take the time to explain things. On top of that, they don't even provide printed ultrasound pictures; they're only emailed.
My appointment with Dr. Simmons was another frustrating experience. He rushed through the appointment and was extremely rough when performing a vaginal swab with a Q-tip. It was painful, and he didn't stop, check if I was okay, or make any effort to be gentler or more considerate of my comfort. I felt like my discomfort didn't matter to him. To make matters worse, he laughed and made an inappropriate comment about how my "baby daddy must not be active with me." That was completely unnecessary and unprofessional, especially coming from a doctor during such a personal and vulnerable examination.
Overall, I feel like the office lacks communication, compassion, and basic consideration for its patients. Prenatal care should be about making mothers feel informed, comfortable, and supported, but instead I've been left feeling rushed, ignored, and uncomfortable. Being pregnant comes with enough worries already, and having to chase down your own healthcare providers just to get basic communication shouldn't be one of them. I expected much better care than what I've received here.

Dr. Lorenzo Simmons has a very thorough and knowledgeable gynecologist. He makes you feel very comfortable and welcomed in his business. I've been going to him for over 10 years and highly recommend this practice.

My experience with Dr. Lorenza Simmons, MD was truly great! The environment was remarkably clean and friendly, making the visit comfortable from start to finish. I was in and out quickly, and the staff provided top-tier customer service with pleasant attitudes.
