Start SculpSure® Now and Be Swimsuit Ready by Summer
Maybe you’re at or near your goal weight, but problem areas still plague you. It’s a frustrating fact of the body: You can’t target fat loss in specific areas by working out.
If you’re bothered by a place where your body stores more of its fat, you might love the winter weather. With the chilly temperatures here in Atlanta, Georgia, you can cover up a belly with sweaters or thicker thighs with pants.
You’re not stuck with the areas of your body you don’t love. At Prestige Healthcare OBGYN, we offer targeted body contouring called SculpSure®. Charis Trench-Simmons, MD, and Lorenza Simmons, MD, use laser energy to target and destroy fat cells.
How SculpSure provides body contouring
SculpSure is a safe and sophisticated technology that involves a laser sending energy through your skin into the fat cells you want to address. Those fat cells absorb the laser’s energy, heating them to the point of destruction.
Specifically, this system uses an applicator fitted with a 1060-nanometer diode laser and a cooling component. That allows the SculpSure applicator to switch between applying laser energy and cooling, which keeps treatment comfortable.
We can target and eliminate fat cells on your:
- Flanks
- Stomach
- Thighs
- Under-chin area
Treatment takes about a half hour, and you can relax throughout. Some people bring a book to read, while others nap.
SculpSure is noninvasive, and most people say that it’s comfortable. You might feel a warming sensation as the laser works and a tingling when the cooling function operates. You shouldn’t experience any pain during your body contouring appointment.
You also don’t need to worry about downtime afterward. You can continue with your day right after your appointment.
Using SculpSure to move toward your shape goals
SculpSure doesn’t work immediately. It takes time for your body to flush out the newly destroyed fat cells. You should start to notice improvement within about six weeks. It takes up to 12 weeks for your system to eliminate all of the treated cells.
Destroyed fat cells won’t come back. Your results should last for the long term, provided you take steps not to gain weight.
For some people, a single SculpSure treatment provides sufficient body contouring. Others use repeat sessions to move the needle further. We generally recommend spacing appointments at least six weeks apart.
That means if you want to give yourself plenty of time to get swimsuit-ready by summer, start now. To talk with our team about body contouring or schedule your first SculpSure appointment, call our office or book your visit online today.
